Do you recognize what you are good at and what energizes you?
Do you fully utilize your most-enjoyed skills?
Does your work further some interest that you care deeply about?
Do you see your work making a difference in the world?
Do you view most days with a sense of enthusiasm?
Have you developed your own philosophy of life and success?
Are you taking the necessary risks to live your philosophy?
Do you have active goals this year relating to your purpose?
Are you willing to actively work to make things better for yourself?

Evaluation

For each Yes answer, give yourself a 0.
For each Not Sure answer, give yourself a 1.
For each No answer, give yourself a 2.

If your score totaled ...

... between 0-7, your life is pretty focused, you have a sense of direction, and you are intent on making a difference. A coach may be able to help you make even better things happen sooner.

... between 8-15, you have a sense of purpose, but you need to clarify your commitment. You may be ready for a coach, but carefully consider whether or not you're ready to do the work that comes with being coached.

... between 16-20, you're definitely not living up to your full potential and may, or may not be sufficiently motivated to make coaching a worthwhile investment.

Coaching can help anyone,
but that doesn't mean it's right for everyone.
If you commit to being coached, commit fully.

Attributes of Someone Ready for a Coach

  • A readiness to make change happen.

  • A demonstrated interest in making each coaching session time well spent.

  • An openness to replacing self-limiting thoughts and behaviors with newer, more supportive ones.

  • A commitment to climb to new heights of discovery and achievement with care, confidence and style!
