Hi All ~ Barry Zweibel, here, from GottaGettaCoach! I started my full-time coaching business on July 4, 2000 - Independence Day - and haven't looked back!
A bit more about me. My formal coach training came from the Coaches Training Institute where I received my CPCC in 2001. In 2002, the International Coach Federation certified me as an ACC, or Associate Certified Coach, a PCC, or Professional Certified Coach, in 2004, and an ICF Certified Master Coach (MCC) in 2007. I'm also a Founding Member of the International Association of Coaches, CoachVille, and 24x7 Coaching. I've been quoted in newspapers, magazines, and blogs. My website enjoys excellent search engine rankings. I'm a familiar name on many coaching list-serves. I've always been keen on helping people learn, grow, and succeed. I did that as an executive before becoming a coach, I did that as an adjunct instructor at Northwestern University, and I naturally do that in life. But since becoming a coach, there are two coach-centric activities that typify my ability to help coaches learn, grow, and succeed, as well. The first was when I was appointed as Chairman of the Early Years Learning Track for the ICF 2001 Annual Conference. It was my responsibility to create a program of six breakout sessions designed specifically to help new coaches bridge the gap between being a capable coach, and a truly successful coach. After all, there are few things sadder than coaches who want to coach, but don't have the clients to coach. The program included breakout presentations on:
Perhaps interestingly, the presentations were not just attended by newbie coaches, but by seasoned (but still struggling) ones, as well. And they were some of the best-attended breakouts in the entire conference! Clearly, we were able to speak to a need then ... as we are now. Then in 2002, I was recruited to be coach and facilitator of the ICF Chicago Board of Directors. It made sense for the Chapter's Board to walk-the-talk about the value of coaching - especially since they were getting a bit stuck. So they hired me to be their coach! Good fun. And excellent learning.
Consider THIS! is unique -- and gentle -- self-study program, designed exclusively for coaches to help them maintain focus, intensity and resolve in building their coaching practice. Consider THIS! is a series of concentration-points and reminders - purposeful meditations and ', if you will - designed specifically to help you, the aspiring life coach, keep top-of-mind what's most important to growing your life's work. Consider THIS! is chocked-full of ideas, reflections, and inspirations that will capture your imagination, engage your thinking, and stimulate you to action, guaranteed. But know this - Consider THIS! is NOT a how-to manual.
But what it is, is a series of soothing and thought-provoking questions, insights, and perspectives formatted as a PowerPoint animation, where each slide is designed to bring you to a new level of awareness about what it means to be a successful coach. You can enjoy these animations as a complete slide-show presentation, view them one at a time, or even print them out and post them as reminders on your walls. Or do all three. Because the dirty little secret of coaching is that - abundance and attraction notwithstanding - it takes a lot of work to become a successful coach. So are you ready to create an environment that better enables your success? |
