Three Quick Pieces of Advice

  1. Act more quickly
  2. Document more precisely
  3. Be more decisive

Pick a problem you're facing - at work or in life - and try these three things. Chances are good you'll move from stuck to rockin' in no time flat.

Dear Barry,

You were very kind to me some months ago when I wrote inquiring about what coaching is. Since then, you added me to your list, and I have read your blog posts and newsletters with interest.

I especially liked this week's networking tips...right on the money.

And your "Three Quick Pieces of Advice" were particularly motivating...There IS a specific life problem I've been grappling with--for months...have hit a dead end with all recent concerted attempts to ameliorate it...deadline is fast-approaching and I was becoming discouraged...losing faith.

You have such a nice (and subtly powerful) way of breaking things down to make them: simple, structured, and motivating. Seeing those three sentences on the page afforded me an opportunity to approach the situation again, more objectively...in a more detached, effective fashion.

I think it was the "be more decisive" that did it. Thanks for the lift...and best regards...I'm beginning to understand what makes great coaching!
