Old Friends

Three on a match. First, I got an email from an old friend the other day. Second, a client was thinking about going to a high school reunion. Third, neighbors from where we lived 10 years ago were in the area and stopped by to say hello.

So often people meet, interact for a while, and then go their separate ways, never to be heard from again. Nothing intentional - often just a result of benign neglect over time. Yet there are so many of these lost relationships, I can't help wonder what all they might look like if they took on some physical form.

Piles of Lost Relationships would be seen littering our streets and highways. Big chunks of Forgotten Friendships would jam up free-flowing rivers and streams. Hmmm. Do you think this might be contributing to all the smog and pollution out there?!

So let's do something about it. Let's visit, or talk to, or email someone we haven't in a while. The joy it'd bring would be healthy for us - and them - and might even be good for the environment, too!
